Sustainable Retail: Lidl has introduced 100% compostable bag For Potatoes, the 1st of it's kind in Ireland. They join Centra stores across the country in the move to more sustainable retail practices. Centra last week introduced compostable bags for customers. Ethical buying still is "still a work in progress" according to the Irish Examiner.

Health Conscious Retail: Irish food retailer and wholesale company, Musgrave has announced that it has signed an exclusive partnership agreement with the healthy food and lifestyle favourites The Happy Pear. In more great news for health conscious consumers, The Turmeric Co, famed for boosting international footballer Thomas Hal's career are now available in Irish stores.

Future Retail: Research by payments specialist JGOO, suggests that Alipay and WeChat should be favoured by more retailers in the UK. Especially as Chinese tourists are set to spend £1 billion in the UK this year. AI is quickly aligning with retail needs with 1000 Walmart stores set to start using shelf scanning inventory robots this summer.
