Business Operations Manager - County Meath

€45000 - €50000 per annum DOE

Are you an ambitious retail professional with keen interest in HR and Operations?

We have a huge opportunity for a proactive and self-driven Operations Manager to join the successful team with a high-profile and well-established retailer in County Meath.

This is an exciting role for someone with hands-on approach and strong knowledge of HR / fresh food development / KPIs / Quality Management and Team Development. The role involves overseeing and delivering a wide range of operational projects and ensuring business targets are met.

Main responsibilities:

  • Full responsibility for conducting store inspections and monitoring resulting action plans in station standards with particular emphasis on quality control, stock availability, KPIs, food safety and HR training.
  • Identify hotspots in the business that require intervention and proactively investigate, strategize, and implement solutions with those business leaders
  • Partner with functional leaders to help them optimize their operations through systems, process, and implementation.
  • Develop strategies to drive growth with existing categories as well as identify potential opportunities in developing new range of products.
  • Attend appropriate meetings, industry events and exhibitions, representing the company.
  • Implement and optimize necessary training opportunities and staff development programs based on the business needs, customer's service standards and other business targets.
  • Make written recommendations concerning the development of new products, equipment as well as programmes, policies and procedures.
  • Asset management and coordination with all other departments to provide information, assistance and recommendations as needed.
  • To represent and display the business values through dealings with all employees throughout the organisation.
  • Facilitate speedy decision making with the relevant business areas to resolve issues affecting retail and challenges as they arise with a solution focused attitude.
  • Ensure that all performance issues and/or breaches of company policy are managed appropriately.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with the relevant internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a high performing role in a fast-paced grocery retail environment is required.
  • Grocery and fresh food management experience is essential for this role.
  • A qualification in HR or business management an advantage.
  • Must be able to coordinate operations across all departments.
  • Strong HACCP and food safety knowledge.
  • Excellent communication, people management and leadership skills.
  • Experience of managing a high volume / turnover business.
  • An aptitude for analytics and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Strong IT and report writing skills.
