Retail Area Manager

As an Area Manager, you will be tasked with ensuring that the 3-4 stores under your guidance are
performing to the best of their ability. In this role, every day is different and you will be responsible for
driving sales in stores, maintaining exceptional store standards, recruiting staff, building and
maintaining of relationships with staff in store.


To be considered for this role, you will need to have some strong management/operations experience,
having managed large teams in a fast paced environment whether it's sales, retail or hospitality. You will also need to have a 2.1 level 8 degree.

As an individual, you will be interested in pursuing a career in retail area management or continuing your retail career by taking the next step. This role offers lots of autonomy and the chance to get some really good experience and progress as an Area Manager. In this role, every day is different with new challenges every day. This is an exciting role that offers the successful candidate(s) a great opportunity to progress with thei retail career.


You will have developed a passion for people management throughout your career to date and have
seen the success of strategies you may have implement yourself or helped implement along the way.
It's about strategic-thinking, bar-raising, problem-solving. You will be a manager who can inspire people
to achieve and be successful.


Your Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Drive sales through ensuring exceptional store standards
  • Implement all new store procedures and sales initiatives
  • Optimise availability
  • Build relationships to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the business
  • Monitor and control operational costs
  • Recruit the best possible people for your stores
  • Develop staff to achieve their full potential

Your Profile

  • You will have obtained a 2.1 level 8 degree in any discipline and have gained management
  • experience in your career to date.
  • Excellent communication, planning, organisation and analytical skills
  • A full clean driving licence
  • Organised, flexible, motivated and a hard-working leader
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead a team
  • Strong interest in developing a career in retail
