Area Operations Manager - North-West Dublin

Are you a dedicated and experienced retail manager seeking next level opportunities?

We are recruiting for a self-motivated and driven Area Operations Manager with retail multi-site management experience to join a well-established retailer in Ireland to ensure the smooth running of their stores in the North-West.

This is a marvelous opportunity and you will be responsible for driving sales in stores, maintaining exceptional standards, range, profitability and relationships with store managers and staff. The role offers lots of autonomy and control and will suit someone highly energetic, enthusiastic and with drive to succeed.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily store operations and employee productivity and to steer the company's operating capabilities.
  • Mentor, motivate and supervise teams across givenl retail sites to ensure they meet set objectives such as financial goals, monthly targets and KPIs.
  • Support and inspire managers to achieve their full potential.
  • Provide solutions that address performance issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Developing and collating weekly reports.
  • Developing a high-performance culture.
  • To develop systems and processes to ensure that each store is achieving the maximum sales possible while also ensuring that all costs are kept to agreed levels.
  • To identify current and future customer requirements by establishing a rapport with potential and existing customers and others in a position to understand service requirements.
  • Managing all controllable costs to keep operations profitable.
  • Build relationships with all stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the business.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in the similar role to date.
  • In-depth understanding of retail / FMCG industry.
  • Commercially aware, understands the necessity for cost control and sales driving.
  • Strong people management skills, with the ability to develop people and a team around you.
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead a team.
  • Outstanding communication, planning, organisation and analytical skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Flexibility to travel from site to site.
  • A full clean driving licence.
