Assistant Store Manager - County Galway

County Galway, Galway
€30000 - €35000 per annum DOE

On behalf of a leading grocery retail client, we are recruiting for a dedicated and self-driven Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in running the day-to-day operations of one of their stores in County Galway.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with customer service at their heart, positive mindset and real appetite for progression within the group.

The ideal candidate for this position will come with minimum 2 years' experience from a fast-paced grocery retail environment with strong people management skills and hands-on approach.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of the store's management team.
  • Assist the Store Manager in the day to day running of busy store.
  • Manage a team of up to 15-20 staff when on duty.
  • Ensuring that the store is ready for business on a daily basis to the required standards.
  • Ensuring the highest quality product is displayed at all times in all departments.
  • Providing a high level of customer service at all times.
  • Staff management and development.
  • HACCP duties.
  • Keyholder duties
  • Product displays.
  • Staff training.
  • Security awareness.
  • Stock ordering and control.
  • Delivering excellent store standards consistently.
  • Ensuring store standards are implemented and achieved.
  • Providing a high level of customer service at all times.
  • Motivate, develop and retain store assistants within a fast-paced environment.
  • To ensure the food safety and HACCP procedures are adhered to at all times.

Experience / Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' management experience from food or retail business required but full training provided.
  • 3rd Level Business/Retail Management Qualification beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong leadership, team management and time management skills.
  • Hunger for success and growth.
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to multitask.
  • Strong commitment to excellent customer service.
