Assistant Store Manager - Non Food (South / West Dublin)

South / West Dublin, Dublin
€38000 - €42000 per annum DOE

We are inviting applications from a number of competent & enthusiastic Assistant Store Managers with a strong retail background to join and lead a dynamic team of a non-food retail client of ours for their newely opened stores in South and West Dublin.

This challenging and rewarding position involves supporting the senior and middle management teams ensuring smooth running of the business, achievement of store KPI's and 100% customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will have a proven team management ability, coupled with excellent organisational and communication skills, along with a genuine desire to deliver a first-rate customer experience.


  • Lead, motivate, train and develop a team of colleagues through active management to deliver excellent standards of customer service.
  • To communicate with retail sales team regarding in-store sales and promotions.
  • Be responsible for the people management activities and work closely with HR & senior management.
  • Work with the store management to ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Responsibility for coaching team to ensure that product knowledge, company policies and brand values are reviewed and reconsidered at all times.
  • To deal with and rectify customer complaints in an effective and pleasant manner.
  • Managing point of sale processes, including cash, card & credit transactions.
  • Co-ordinate in-store sales and promotions, participate in regular stock taking.
  • Responsibility for being the first point of contact in the asbence of store manager and taking full responsibility for liaising across all internal departments.
  • Ensure the best possible presentation and merchandising of the store at all times.
  • Adherence to all company policies & procedures, Health & Safety procedures and reporting of any hazards to the Senior Management.


  • Minimum 3 years' experience in the similar role.
  • People management and team coaching skills.
  • Outstanding communication and coaching skills.
  • Exceptional administrative & organisational skill.
  • Ability to use your own initiative, escalating issues to senior management when appropriate.
  • IT skills, with an easy ability to learn our in-house systems.
  • Flexibility to work morning, evening, weekends and bank holiday shifts.
