Our client specialising in the service, maintenance, repair and calibration of garage equipment in Ireland are looking for a Garage Equipment Engineer to support garages across the country, with everything from installation through to routine servicing & tool calibration.

Our customer portfolio ranges from independent service & repair workshops to Main Franchises Dealerships covering cars and commercial vehicles. As one of our engineers, you will be field based and spend the majority of your time working on-site with customers, to ensure slick installations or to provide service and maintenance to existing equipment.

Key Duties:

• Installation of garage equipment (Vehicle Lifts, Wheel & Tyre Equipment, Compressors).
• Respond to customer breakdowns effectively.
• Repairing workshop equipment.
• Diagnose and identify faults and malfunctions across all types of Garage Equipment.
• (Vehicle Lifts, Wheel & Tyre Equipment, Compressors).
• Work alone or as part of a team.
• Carry preventative maintenance to a high standard.
• Problem solve & deal with customers effectively.
• Responsibility for being the first point of contact for clients.
• Responsibility for relevant paperwork.

Requirements:

• Relevant experience backed up with a good level of education & relevant trade qualifications.
• Customer focused with good written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience of working with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical equipment.
• Knowledge and experience of maintenance, inspection and breakdown repairs.
• Ability to solve problems, using own initiative.
• Enthusiastic, motivated and determined to see tasks through to completion.
• Full driving licence.
