Relief Store Manager - Limerick-Cork-Tipperary Area

€39000 - €48000 per annum DOE

Are you an experienced Store Manager interested in multi-site management in part of Munster region?

On behalf of a well-established multi-national grocery retailer, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Store Manager to act as a Floating Manager to report and work directly with the Area Manager and operate between the chain of stores in the region.

The successful candidate will be responsible for filling in for Store Managers at various locations as assigned by the Area Manager, assist in recruitment, training and development of new managers and teams.


  • When assigned be responsible and assume the full duties of a Store Manager.
  • Help the Store Managers with audits, revamps, HR procedures and staffing issues etc.
  • Support the Area Manager with day-to-day running of the business.
  • Managing all controllable costs to keep operations profitable.
  • Ensuring the store(s) are meeting agreed, standards, KPIs and targets.
  • Managing the budgets and revenue for the store(s).
  • Maintain appropriate store inventory.
  • Providing ongoing training, coaching, counseling, and motivation to improve the knowledge base of the staff and utilize cross-training methods to maintain productivity when employees are absent.
  • Maintaining store staff by recruiting, selecting, and training new staff, in conjunction with the HR department.
  • Being creative and innovative by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans.
  • Organizing special promotions, displays and events.
  • Developing and collating weekly reports.
  • To make sure all cash is dealt with as per the company policy.
  • Using the companies rostering system to schedule and assign employees.
  • Updating colleagues on business performance, new initiatives, and other pertinent issues.
  • Dealing with customer queries and complaints as per the company policies.
  • Maintaining the overall image of the store(s), ensuring customers and staff are safe and comfortable.
  • Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Maintaining awareness of market trends in the retail industry with regular competitors' analysis.
  • Maintaining operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational and personnel policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years' previous retail management experience is required.
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic with a high level of confidence.
  • IT Literate with excellent communication skills.
  • People skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • The ability to work in high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to read and understand sales data.
  • Ability to display professionalism and reliability.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
