The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years' experience at front line store management or department management level in a fast-paced convenience or grocery retail environment.

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the store and its operations.
• Responsible for the performance and profitability of high volume and fast paced business.
• Responsibility for people performance in conjunction with creative merchandising and store presentation.
• Managing staff, orders, deliveries, rotas and wastage.
• Staff management and staffing issues like on-boarding and termination processes, recruitment and selection, motivating, conducting appraisals and performance reviews.
• Stock ordering and control responsibilities.
• Identify store's needs by using and analysing daily and weekly sales reports.
• An agreed reporting schedule to senior company management.
• Ensuring sales, margin and other assigned targets are achieved.
• Responsibility for accuracy and punctuality with all reporting.
• Driving business values through ensuring the delivery of high standard customer service.
• Stock control and management of delivery processes.
• Delivering excellent store standards consistently.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years relevant management experience essential.
• An effective leader with excellent team management skills.
• Ambitious with a proven ability to take initiative and implement change.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• In-depth knowledge of HACCP, Health & Safety and the retail environment in general.
• Strong commercial awareness and an ability to meet sales and performance objectives / targets.
