Due to expansion and business growth my client, a major player in the Irish grocery retail market is now looking for a talented Fresh Food Manager to join one of their stores between County Kildare and Meath.

This is a great opportunity for a real foodie. You will be joining one of the leading businesses in fresh food retail, working alongside professional and dedicated managers with demonstrable knowledge of and passion for fresh food.

Fresh Food and/or Deli experience is essential.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Managing day-to-day running of the fresh food department in-store.
• Managing, motivating and supporting the department team to deliver all KPIs.
• To ensure that location appropriate menus are developed and to ensure that fresh food offerings constantly evolve with changing consumer requirements.
• Responsibility for people management skills in conjunction with creative merchandising and department presentation.
• To utilise stock effectively and efficiently to minimise and control fresh food wastage.
• Responsibility for stocktaking and stock rotation.
• Adhering to all HACCP and Food Safety regulations.
• Providing excellent customer service.
• Any other duties designated by the company.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years' Deli or fresh food experience in a management role.
• Experience in mid-to-large format stores an advantage.
• Fully HACCP and food safety trained.
• The ability to work independently and with the team.
• Experience in managing and motivating teams.
• Experience in successfully achieving targets and KPI's.
• Excellent attention to detail and an ability to identify sales opportunities.
• A customer focused manager who can build a quality and loyal customer base
